Getting to Olympia

Olympia is east of Katakolon, about a 30-minute drive from the port. Because the train connection is uncertain, a private bus is the cheapest and most dependable way to get to the archaeological site.

By Private Bus

Katakolon Express, a private bus service between Katakolon and Olympia, is designed for cruisers. The schedule varies, but it generally runs twice a day, giving you from three to seven hours at Olympia. The catch: You must reserve online at least one week prior to your arrival (20 Euro round-trip, mobile 697-725-7417, www.katakolon-express.com.)
They also offer guided minivan tours for small groups."
